About Museum :

The National Dinosaur Museum is located in Canberra. It is one of the most attractive tourist place in Canberra. This museum was started in 1993 with a very few collections and now its capable of housing dinosaurs and few other prehistoric fossil materials.

This museum has 23 complete skeletons and more than 300 fossils. It also attracts a large number of visitors each year providing information about dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures among school children and general public. This museum focusses both on education and entertainment with various activities for school children and general people.

The South Australian Museum is a collection of the State’s culture. The specialised information collected by curators and scientists for the past 150 years are made available to everyone through publication, education and exhibitions.

This Museum has about 85 staff members compared with about 40 in 1956. This reflects their specialisation in this field. In addition to the staff members, there are volunteers and board members who provide valuable resource in terms of marketing, planning and accounting.
