Queensland Museum has been collecting photographs, objects, artefacts and documents for the past 148 years. These collections provide information about the ancient culture and their history. This museum also has an extensive mineral collection of vertebrate and invertebrate groups and fossils.

The South Australian Museum is a collection of the State’s culture. The specialised information collected by curators and scientists for the past 150 years are made available to everyone through publication, education and exhibitions.

This Museum has about 85 staff members compared with about 40 in 1956. This reflects their specialisation in this field. In addition to the staff members, there are volunteers and board members who provide valuable resource in terms of marketing, planning and accounting.
