Gorgosaurus belongs to the family of tyrannosauroid theropod dinosaur which lived during the Late Cretaceous period, over 75 million years ago. Adults measured up to 9 meters in length and weigh approximately 2.8 tones. The distinguishing feature of Gorgosaurus includes blunt snout and circular eye socket.
