Besanosaurus is a marine reptile belongs to the family of ichthyosaur that had been found existed during the middle Triassic period, over 235 million years ago. The species was named by Dal Sasso and Pinna in 1996. Besanosaurus measures approximately 6 meters in length and had physical characteristics as similar to dolphins.
