Archaeopteryx is a genus of bird species which is the transitional creature between feathered dinosaurs and modern birds. It had been found existed during the Late Jurassic period, over 150 million years ago. The distinguishing characteristics of this species include long bony tail, three fingered claws and slender jaws with sharp teeth.
