Quaesitosaurus

Quaesitosaurus otherwise referred as extraordinary lizard, belongs to the family of titanosaurian sauropod. It lived during the Late Cretaceous period (Santonian to Campanian ages), over 85 to 70 million years ago. The fossil remains of the species were first discovered in Mongolia-Barun Goyot Formation. The dinosaur is of a herbivore type and comes under the classification of Chordata, Reptilia, Dinosauria, Saurischia, Sauropoda, Titanosauroidea, Nemegtosauridae.

The species was named by Kurzanov and Bannikov - 1983. The fossil skull analysis revealed that the Quaesitosaurus had an arrangement of long, low and frontally located horse-like peg-teeth. The skull of this herbivore dinosaur remains similar to the structure of Diplodocus species and Nemegtosaurus. The skeletal structure, length and weight of Quaesitosaurus still remain unpredicted due to the incomplete remains.
